La Granja introduces another side of Spain’s royal heritage: the summer residence associated with Philip V and its French-designed gardens. The palace collections and long garden perspectives offer a different experience from a city-centre palace visit.
It can be considered on its own or alongside Segovia if the itinerary allows. Garden access and fountain displays are not the same thing: the water displays follow their own calendar, so they should never be assumed to operate on the day of every visit.
