    Our guided tour is a walking tour through the Madrid of the seventeenth century, known as ¨Madrid de los Austrias¨or Madrid of the Habsburgs (the dinasty that ruled in Spain in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries), to learn about its history while strolling along its winding streets and admiring its monuments, with time to take pictures and enjoy the special atmosphere of this old quarter of Madrid.


    Length of the tour: 2 hours

    A stroll through the seventeenth century Madrid, walking along its narrow streets and seeing its most important monuments, from the Plaza Mayor (Main Square) to Toledo street, Cuchilleros street, Cava de San Miguel, through the old but renovated market, the Convent of Carboneras, Codo street, Plaza de la Villa, (with the old City Hall, the Palace of Cisneros and the Lujanes house), the main street (Mayor), Bailen street, passing by the Almudena Cathedral and the Palacio Real, and continuing to Oriente square, the monastery of the Incarnation, Isabel II square and Arenal street to finally reach the heart of the city: Puerta del Sol.
