What you will discover

Understand Madrid as a royal capital through a private Royal Palace visit, with stories behind the state rooms and their collections.

Madrid’s Royal Palace introduces the ceremonial world of the Spanish monarchy. The state rooms and their paintings, tapestries and furnishings help explain how a royal residence also served as a setting for public power and representation.

This is a historic palace still used for official ceremonies, not an unrestricted tour of every room. We check the published opening arrangements and agree the visit accordingly; official events can change access even when you are planning well in advance.
